Looks good, weak story

The beginning of the film is doing well. You will become familiar with the character and a certain tension builds up. They want to know more, there are unresolved issues and you get the feeling: that could be interesting! Here then is nothing that satisfies the expectations. Just from the point at which the Paladins will appear the first time in Rome lame. Here the filmmaking would much unbelievable to get a lot more out!

What kind of an organization the Paladins? as they have previously worked (without technology?!?)? Why is the mother, and why can not they get out? How many jumpers are there? Above all, the problems with the mother could have broach more, also their inner conflict and perhaps a decision moment. But it will only scratched the surface: Short, meaningless 1-set conversations without much emotion. And the sister at the end, where does the come from?

At least the actors are well chosen: Hayden Christensen, Rachel Bilson and Samuel L. Jackson one looks like to. Kristen Stewart is also very good to see it you could have done even more. The effects are well done and not look cheap - after all. But the nonsensical story may thus not be saved.
