GROW OLD WITH ME - It's starting behavior and the dynamics of the song increases towards the end violently. A really nice love song with beautiful lyrics, but which really does not need the choir in the background after the chorus. 4/5
HOLD ME - is actually one of the faster songs on the album and spread a great atmosphere. "Hold me" lives of Tom's voice that can show here that it is not perfect, but simply unique. 4/5
ANOTHER LOVE - this song is driving me really brought tears to his eyes. So painful is the voice of a text that tells the story of a failed love. A simple piano accompanies the melancholy perfectly. The somewhat disturbing in the first song chorus emphasizes here the feeling of the song much better. Listen to again and again! 5/5
I KNOW - by the mood a little bit faster and remembers but to HOLD ME. For me, unfortunately, therefore advised quite interchangeable and the text does not necessarily distinguished from. Stayed with me why not stick long in the memory. 3/5
SENSE - is a song that addresses incredibly slow and only slightly increases. Tom Odell told here simply his depressing story, you have to listen more closely at his accent and occasional Nusch learning, this is accompanied by light piano music. 3/5
CAN NOT pretend - is characterized by its dark mood, which is accompanied here by gospel-like sounds. No mainstream and certainly not for all listeners. 3/5
TILL I lost you - immediately goes into the ear, at the latest at the chorus. Power, despite lyrics, a good mood. One of the stand-out tracks on the album. 5/5
SUPPOSED TO BE - also here must be listened carefully, because this song lives of his text "Just for a moment I felt so free, all I supposed to be". There are few highs and the familiar drumms and Keys make it a round thing. 4/5
LONG WAY DOWN - the title track is one of the most wonderful, melancholic songs that simply are Tom Odell best face. Simply staged with his voice, which could best describe as "by" ... or drawn by alcohol, grief and lack of sleep. 5/5
SIRENS - is something the tempo richer degree with usual bedrückendem text and always repetitive theme. One of the more memorable songs on "Long Way Down". 4/5
Meanwhile ran Tom Odell's debut 14 times in my playlist up and down, which I found here is that it is damn short with 10 songs and just only 35 minutes of runtime.
Due to its reduced form at Tom's voice, the repetitive piano music and occasional choral elements I find it hard to find a self-reliance in most songs. You appear to be interchangeable, which is a pity and certainly not worthy of the artist.
My highlight is "Another Lover". Had I bought only this song, I had unfortunately not missed so much.
Overall, the songs were well deserved 4 stars, but due to the shortness is there but only 3 to me. ML
