The lens has a plastic tube and a metal bayonet, which is a total of very high quality. The color of the lens is matt black and not as in many other Lumix lenses such as 14-140mm which is shiny black with my kit lens. The focus ring is running at my copy buttery soft, almost the same as with my 14-140mm Zoom Kit maybe not quite as supple but almost.
The zoom of 100-250mm (200-500mm in KB format) is fantastic and the sharpness very good, but from 250-300mm (500-600mm in KB format) focal length makes the sharpness a little and the picture is a little softer, which actually is not a problem for me. It is for the price is simply unbeatable and you can not have everything!
The OIS image stabilization works great, although still the older MEGA OIS is built and not like zoom in my kit lens, the 14-140mm II or other recent Lumix lenses POWER OIS Still, he works so well, that one with a steady hand and without can make very good photos tripod.
For those who are looking for a tripod collar, I recommend the company Rösch Precision Engineering. This completes the lens perfectly.
Each MFT photographer who is looking for a super-telephoto zoom, the Lumix 100-300mm should take a closer look!
I have not regretted the purchase and I would buy it immediately, especially since I had no alternative than Panasonic G6 camera owners because the camera has no internal image stabilizer (except the Panasonic GX7).
