The Longshine modem is recognized by Mac OS X.7 Lion and immediately added in the Print dialog. The Apple USB Modem I have leached.
I had, however, call the fax modem settings and the setting switch to "pulse" and sound "from" the Druckdiaglog.
Then it worked. Now no problem and also works with the external fax program CoMa.
