I had consciously decided on FALK to somehow have the feeling to buy a German product. The device itself makes a good impression - but in order to use it for geocaching data is transmitted from the computer. The Download Manager for this is on the side of FALK only available for Windows. So I called the hotline (0,14 ct / min from a landline), which was to be found in the package and was - mind of a human contact - when I asked if there was a Mac version, totally ignorant literally 3x confronted with the question whether I had a warranty problem. Only when I asked what this is, I got a different answer - namely, that all other issues a hotline for ATTENTION: 1.89 / min is responsible from a landline. To sum up, I will buy a unit for about 400.- (incl. Delivery) and if I have a question to which it is not apparent from the instructions, I have to call a number derived from a cost point at the level of dubious services moves that are a available in the commercial breaks of late films. "Insolence" for this is still much too polite way. Despite all this, I have chosen this number, only to let me explain how self-evident that "of course" only a Windows compatibility exists. Apparently sales to customers who are led up the garden path so, higher than with maps and GPS devices.
... Packed, returned and made a huge bow to FALK, a shameless rip-off dubious company for all time. Now I have a Garmin GPSMAP 62s bundled with the topo map of Germany and am satisfied (is Mac-compatible!).
