Magnificent medieval fun

In this story pretty much every movie Knight gets his fat away. Since there are massacres in the royal family, a surviving child with a royal birthmark that is brought to safety by rebels in the forest, the tyrannical ruler of sitting wrongly on the throne, a charming-bitchy princess (wonderfully: Angela Lanybury) Tournaments , conspirators and even a witch at court.
All the lumped, added a lot of speed and wit, vigorously stirred, and out comes The Court Jester. I see this film with undiminished pleasure since my childhood again. I myself have the US-DVD, but also know the German version of the TV, which is an outstanding success, which was not easy sure both the translation and Danny Kaye's quick talk talent.

A fantastic fun for young and old, this film has not aged at all and will certainly bring many more generations many, many laughs. Why it has not yet appeared on DVD in Germany, is very, very unfortunate.
