A Matter of Life and Death (Audio CD)

Customer Review

There were critics who have torn this fantastic Maiden album with the release in the air. There were friends of mine who thought that this album would not be good, and that it would not be creative. I do not know how these people come to this judgment. Maybe they have already lost much of their hearing due to their heavy metal period consumption-in-high-volume. One thing is certain for me only that the album A Matter Of Life And Death from the first to the last track is simply excellent, and never boring. Thus, it climbed in Germany cope No. 1 on the album charts.

I especially like that the Irons this time also have the courage to play progressive. Especially the longer titles like The Reincarnation of Benjamin Breeg and The Leagacy benefit from this change in direction. On this album, there is no filler or weaker - more average - titles such as on the previous album Dance of Death.

These songs are never old, because you can see new Facet each time you listen.

With A Matter of Life and Death Iron Maiden is an absolutely timeless work succeeded in that Son of a Seventh Son belongs to me personally, next to Brave New World and Seventh of the three best albums of the band.
