Customer Review

"Bring 'Em In" was for me one of the best albums in 2004, because it has brought a fresh breeze to the slow wearying garage rock. Wild and impetuous like The Who in their prime were Mando Diao to work. For "Hurricane Bar" now has changed a lot. The new record is a little quieter and more emotional, but in no way means that Mando Diao sound tired now. Rather, this album is the seamless transition from the British rock of the 70's the so-called Britpop, but still rocking violently with Mando Diao. The opening track "Cut The Rope" and the following "God Knows" would certainly also fitted to the predecessor. After that, the pieces then get mainly through the lead vocals of Gustaf Noren and Björn Dixgård a melodöseren paint, with "You Can not Steal My Love" and represent "If I Leave You" special highlights. Almost unexpectedly quiet and unusual sounds then suggests "Ringing Bell", an indulgent pop piece of dreams of young men of two undistorted guitars, drums and the singing of Björn Dixgård on.
Mando Diao have managed with "Hurricane Bar" that what some garage-colleagues have failed, namely to evolve musically. When Mando Diao there is simply more than one or two sources, there's The Who, as the Brit-pop of the 90s and look for blues elements and 70 organs input and incidentally are Gustaf Noren and Björn Dixgård is perhaps best and most diverse singer in the garage area. One can already be curious about what's coming next.
