Super Mario Galaxy is actually a very good game with minimal weaknesses, but little consequence. I share the assessment in different criteria for clarity. I rate the game based on 120 collected stars.
Story:
Who here expects a revolution, will certainly be disappointed. Peach is kidnapped again and the evil Bowser has to be stopped by our beloved hero Mario. The whole is much better than, say, staged in Mario Sunshine, but so right dramaturgy do not want to pay.
The story is unfortunately very very linear, there are hardly any side quests or similar, almost all the stars can be found in one of the galaxies. If you have completed a Galaxy you go to the next, etc.

Visually and technically sound Nintendo has done a solid job. In terms of gameplay, they have once again outdone itself and really created something new, something really fun also. On the plus side are definitely still the fast loading times, at least it feels so ago.
