Marmite I (along with Vegemite) tried it out on the occasion of a British-Australian breakfast. Most liked neither Marmite nor Vegemite on toast her, and Vegemite was preferred by some guests because of somewhat milder taste compared to the strict tasting Marmite. In my family there are different views. My son (2 years old!) Who loves both Marmite and Vegemite also - on toast, crisp bread and various other bread - also together with cheeses or cold meats. My daughter (4 years old) may not both. My wife has got used to the taste after it was not so enthusiastic at first. I myself prefer Marmite on toast, preferably with a slice of cheese on it. It is important that you use Marmite sparingly (not thickly as Nutella), because it has a very intense flavor.
Marmite is a concentrated yeast extract, which is obtained when brewing beer. Other ingredients include salt, plant extracts and spices. It is positive that Marmite does not contain the preservative sulfur dioxide (as opposed to Vegemite), allergic to the some people. Marmite contains vitamins B1 Thiamin, B2 riboflavin, B3 niacin, folic acid and B12-B9 cobalamins. It is suitable for vegetarian and vegan diets, and it is Kosher and Halal.
