Masterpiece 8 1

This is the first true literary shock I experienced. An ode to the imagination that offers an unforgettable journey into a terribly plausible future. The complexity of the branching narrative, the abundance of characters, countless themes that brews novel, insight, foresight capacity, consistency that seals the whole, are all elements that are in I think one of major literary works of the twentieth century. I think it is a text that we will revisit in a hypothetical future with respect tinged with disbelief, understanding that Dan SIMMONS composed it in a kind of visionary trance bordering on prescience, a brilliant and creative brilliance frenetic, and despite himself he lifted a veil on a sum of dizzying possible realism. The writer does not always seek his muse. Sometimes the muse finds and tells him the sum of what has been, what is, and what will be. Great writers are mere scribes who do not control their own creation: it escapes their control and consists dipping its foundations in the lake of an individual unconscious which irrigates the collective. SIMMONS And Dan was a great scribe.
