My TZ5 laché me after 6 years of good and loyal service. I needed a compact camera (I do not like bulky APN) fast enough for weekly outings but not too budget nor the time to look for a replacement worthy of the name. I opted for the Panasonic because I was rather satisfied with the TZ. In the end, the unit is small and very light, which can be handy but it gives an impression of "toc". He does his work ie take pictures and videos. The reduced size that the summary is taken in hands, in addition it is flat (no handle) but does have 2 defects less compared to TZ: 1) it has a button dedicated to shooting movies, the TZ we had to change the mode with the wheel; 2) it has no dial to select the picture / video mode, the latter tended to turn when withdrawing or put the device from its pouch. I did not even take time to view the photos in detail but they appear at the same level as those of TZ. Finally, for the price it's a good device.
