The Metabo KGS 254 M is solid and robust, at least relatively robust. Once adjusted, it also works quite accurately and without big game. Although a bit noisy, but on the other hand helps a earmuff. For robustness: I asked for 1.2 years fixed use. I work a lot with wood as a hobby, but always only seasonally or when a project is pending. Actually, no excessive use. After 1.2 years, the plane made a sudden when a miter Korkwandabschlussleiste (!) - (So no challenge, soft material) - a strange noise was, no longer off and began to smoke (!). Only when unplugging it went out. The service-contact with Metabo (phone) went smoothly and we got the machine via forwarding from. Good thing I had the original packaging in stock. Two weeks later, without notice a new machine that was specified in the Service Journal: exchange due to engine failure. I hope it was a Monday and the new device runs longer and better.
