Plus point:
The "built-in" movie player transfers even MKVS in 24p to the TV - ie with the (1920 x 1080 pixels usual with most BDs) 23.976 frames per second - very good! But the film "Management" with the built-in player is weak ...
Minus point:
The "built-in" Music player can not begin with the usual playlist file formats something - that's really weak!
Approach 1: Kodi install!
Problem a) Kodi alone can (still) not 24p.
Problem b) Kodi can still) not really exploit (hardware acceleration: The bucking MKVS when you only reproduces with Kodi.
Solution 2: Kodi install and use to play the movies the "built-in" Movie Player. This is supposedly the HiMedia Kodi wrapper. So install the Kodi wrapper.
Problem: When trying with the pre-installed on the device firmware 1.0.7, Kodi raises after you install the wrapper as it attempted to play movies an error message ("a player that is active" or something like that).
Approach 3: The pre-installed default firmware (1.0.7) by the firmware from the manufacturer myHDplayer (currently also 1.0.7) replace.
Then approach works 2 great!
This is also true for the intended music playback.
CONCLUSION:
Without fumbling with the Kodi wrapper in my view actually five stars for the device. Because of the required fumbling but only four.
In contrast, the seller gets myHDplayer five stars because on their website actually takes everything you for the purpose described above needs (if one's previously only knew exactly one could save hours of experiments).
Anyway, I now have a player who does everything that I (so far) he wants, my movie collection is as practical as it visually appealing and also my music so reproduces exactly how I imagine it.
