Essentials:
This album is a personal collection of Jean Michel Jarre, which he has created in memory of his former producer and good friend Francis Dreyfus, President of Disques Dreyfus. The selected pieces make for special memories Jarre to collaborate with Dreyfus. However, here is nothing new for Jarre fans here.
Rarities:
This album is a compilation of songs that Jean Michel Jarre has composed before Oxygene. Starting with the previously unreleased "Happiness is a Sad Song" of 1968 on Jarre's first single "La Cage / Erosmachine" from 1969, the 1970 single "hypnosis" to excerpts from the albums "Deserted Palace" from 1970 and "Les Granges Brulees "of 1973. Jarre has thereby spared no effort and brought the old analog tapes from his archive and remixed with cutting-edge digital technology. The result can not be mistaken - at least in comparison with the old recordings. The title itself is of course not everyone's taste and therefore probably only of interest to die-hard collectors. As a bonus, there are two remixes in 2010 of the French electronic musician Vitalic of Jarre's "La Cage" and "Erosmachine".
