One of the two memory modules already broke after 2 months and has been submitted.
To our horror the defective memory should be sent to England.
So memory sent to England for Warranty replacement.
Approximately Three weeks later, the memory came in England (ok because Komputerbay can not help it that we have not sent the module with Express and related costs).
It was only when I inquired about the status of nine days later, came in response to the memory has not yet arrived (package tracking but showed that the storage already present 9 days).
3 hours after the reply mail the information, the memory is there now came (what a coincidence ?!) and the exchanged memory can be returned with the following options:
- Standard shipping is $ 1.00 (no tracking and no insurance - delivery time 1-3 weeks)
- Shipping with tracking and insurance is $ 25.00 (delivery time 1-2 weeks)
- FedEx is $ 90 (1-3 days).
That is surely a joke ?! 1. If it is, a warranty processing, as I will certainly not $ 25 let alone $ 90 to pay for the return transport, especially shipping for $ 25 yes corresponds approximately to the original price of a module
So wrote back, is guaranteed and the manufacturers to send a question of the spare to take care back.
Komputerbay then offered the Standard Shipping (1-3 weeks without tracking) on warranty.
That was at 17:01.
Until today (12:02.) Still pursue no delivery and no way where the supply is currently located.
Conclusion: Never again Komputerbay! As long as everything works, it is ok, but woe you have a complaint, you can take the defective part within the warranty period, the best just in the trash. So you're better off.
Or you can buy simply by another manufacturer or dealer, preferably with guaranteed settlement within Germany ...
