All in all, one can only advise against this kit. Even taking into account the typical Revell quality defects, Revell reached a new negative record in this kit. I've never seen such a bad kit. Partially lacking in the parts simply material (must happen when casting his). Thanks to the bad fits the model without hair dryer, putty and sandpaper is not to build. The hull gapes apart when the wings are placed, or you simply drags away a lot of wing material. The instruction refers to parts which have a different name on the frame parts and -teilweise- also procure different than can be seen on the pictures. The fine pieces are partly not to be solved by the casting fin in one piece out of the frame.
Beginners would quickly lose in this model, the motivation, Intermediate (who know it otherwise) are massively disappointed.
Sure, the kit is from 1981 but a brand like Revell would alone already for image reasons well advised here times rework, or the entire kit to redesign. Finally, after 32 years you can expect times a facelift, even VW builds the Beetle is no longer in its original form ...
