No More Drama (Audio CD)

Customer Review

For years, Mary J. Blige is one of the best and most mature performers of this genre for the proposed R & B listeners. With their fifth album "No More Drama" she commutes again between Soul, R & B, gospel and hip hop. Supported by the currently fashionable producer Flyte Time, The Neptunes, Swizz Beats and Dr. Dre and guest musicians such as Eve, Hakeem, Missy Eliott and Lenny Kravitz it delivers a first-class album. The socially committed artist (Anti-drugs, AIDS) delivers songs such as the sparingly instrumented "Love", the sensitive ballad "No More Drama" and the mid-tempo like Groover "Keep It Moving" and "Where I`ve Been "that radiate with her has always been powerful voice and her personality something like wisdom (note in this context, the texts). The 17 songs do without a beneficial effect on the ubiquitous samples of popular songs, but act by the good songwriting and arranging. Mary J. Blige is almost an elder stateswoman in the scene and is with this album she shows young people how to produce at the prevailing taste modern black music without obvious pandering.
