The timbre of his voice is reminiscent of the Lou Rawls, Lou Rawls, however, was attributable to the rather smoothen department.
Bill Withers, however, has a way of singing without straighte great phrasing and there is in my opinion the
interpret great skill and his own distinctive form.
This he has something of a great storyteller and has thus in the black music a unique style him
created which was unmistakable.
His way of singing was not the same heat, the z. B. conveys album of Marvin Gaye Whats Going On, but
countries negotiating with the same forcefulness something Demanding.
For me, he also belongs in any case to the Grand and songs like Lovely Day, Just A Two Of Us, Use Me, Harlem, I Want To Spent The Night, Is not No Sunshine are always among my classics in black music.
