I finally decided on this unit and hereby would like to write about my experiences.
Unfortunately, I'm probably a bit biased as this is my 3rd consecutive Samsung (SGH-D600 SGH-D900i &).
So far, Samsung me never entschäuscht, but why exactly it was that Monte:
First impression (packaging):
The smallest mobile phone package that I have ever had in your hand. Although the Monte of the height and width of her is my most "greatest" phone, the packaging has never been so compact.
But everything has its place and so lacking on the whole nothing to basic equipment. Phone, battery, charger, headset and USB cable are included. Manage Add to that the software "Kies" to the cell phone on the PC + a manual. Since I also use as an MP3 player I have the Monte course a Micro-SD card must be ordered separately to. But for this price, you can take the quiet in purchasing.
That's why I want to forgive here 8 out of 10 on my personal score.
Operating recording (setup of phone):
As in many test reports and also read here at Amazon, the battery cover at Monte's really only with a firm tug. But I must also say that comes on to the device ... I had 2 Monte in hand (no exhibition pieces) and the first, the lid came off with a slight train at the 2nd and he goes off by force.
But the lid you have to actually do not often remove ... SIM card into the slot Battery ... purely to cover and there you go ...
The capacitive touch screen of Monte is really super successful. Although it can be operated only with the fingers (see Wikipedia for "capacitive systems a hurdle in terms of accessibility.") But as my wife has a device with a resistive screen, I have enjoyed the clear difference immediately.
With Bluetooth I still transfer data, contacts and files from my old D900 and already was the Monte roughly Ready. Some fine-tuning, I then made in the course of 3 days, to set up such groups, edit profiles, etc ...
The Monte is quickly ready for use and the instructions you can first put it aside and perhaps occasionally use as a reference.
For 10 of 10 points.
The main thing (Telephone & News function):
The quality of voice calls is excellent. I would say 3 bar reception (max 6), which is almost always available, even in our "village", can cause crackling noise and conversations.
SMS are typed quickly thanks to the responsive touch screen.
When it comes to the main function so I give 10 out of 10 points.
Extras (widgets, etc.)
Here I must confess that I am a prepaid user and therefore can not surf the Internet.
Only on the couch when my own router allows access into the net I'll go with the Monte on Facebook or Youtube to commercial break etc. to bridge.
The speed of the browser really is not the yellow of the egg, with a laptop which also goes online via WiFi, the internet connection is a lot shorter, but remain on the access times to the Monte with good connection at an acceptable level.
A very special extra for me (since D900i) Mobile tracker from Samsung. A grandiose development in my opinion. Does the phone lost and the "Finder" it does not want to return, but puts another SIM card into the phone, will be sent from this card from an SMS to a predefined number (with me that to my wife) and Monte shares his new number and thus everything they need to be located with order (See theft to the police and show the SMS).
A pity, however, is not the full versions of games are on the phone, but on the oracle Google, you will find it quickly in the WWW and can install freeware on the Monte.
For 7 out of 10 points.
My main reasons for purchase:
Why I bought specifically the Monte:
- 3.5 mm jack connection
- Capacitive touch screen
- Cheap Price
- Experience with Samsung products (mobile phones not only)
- MP3 player with background function
- Good Test Results
- Chic design
For this price ... a real find
