Mooncalfs and Earthlings

In The First Men in the Moon, the Moon is not a deserted place like we know now, but it is full with mooncalfs and Their shepherds the Selenites. The two travelers from earth and get caught while Cavor tries to understand and communicate with them, Bedford does not think they can be trusted.
The story is at the beginning sometimes funny sometimes tiresome. But later on the dull part Disappears and the excitement and philosophy begins.
The Selenites are a very Specialised species. Each individual can only make the job it is destined for, some have very large heads others have small hands and so on. As Wells attended the Norman School of Science under the tutelage of a Darwinian biologist he knows about evolution. In the case of the Selenites the specialization is not made by nature, the elder ones prepare the young for there Selenites Later Life. confined in jars from Which only the fore limbs protrudes, who were being compressed to become machine-minders and now he Compares it with life on earth, of course, it is really in the end a far more humane than our earthly proceeding method of leaving children to grow into human beings, and then making machines of them.
The Selenites live in peace on Their planet and can not understand the human beeings.you Mean That You run about over the surface of your worldkillimg one another for beasts to eat?
The First Men in the Moon is not only a really good science fiction story Which was written more than a hundred years ago but it is a book with so many things to hink about.
