(More) as a complete replacement for my 100-400L

This is now getting on in years, the focal length is no longer locked and it has severe signs of wear and proper dust accumulation in the lens system. All this has had an impact in any way on the image quality, but ultimately was then the increasingly crucial for my purposes to large focal length for the initial purchase of the sigmoid colon. After comparing I can not notice any difference in picture quality. I have tried not expensive test equipment, only my eyes. But "Traumflieger" test and comparison say yes from practically the same.
Volume and weight compared to the Canon of course, already a decent blow more, but I'll get used to it quickly. The stability I find very good and better functioning than the Canon. AF speed super.
As already mentioned, the most important thing is the initial focal length of 50mm. In the future, I will take no other optics to "my events". (Motorsport, airshows, Planespotting). In addition, most will still find space for the wide range in the shirt pocket my good compact bag clippers.
