More interesting than before (as always)

Just like the previous plates each, this is the best Tocotronic plate for me, which I'm not really a fan, so far. Tocotronic is, despite modest live qualities, still a pretty good studio band. The songs and lyrics are not predictable, it's exciting to listen to, and this record is perhaps the first Tocotronic plate that I would often hear as 3-4 times.

What was better, are mainly two things: Dirk von Lowtzow is even closer to where he wants to go in my opinion, actually: sound painting through words, painting the near-absurd images and are not looking for specific content interpretation more. So Dadaism, in principle. The others are the two guitarists who now have more or less found each other, and no longer play-Beautiful-and-the-beast, but now make common cause. Even though this part, excuse me, comes out Byrds-like tinkle this is all still round and clear.

What was not better is the fact that still the man seems to be the bass player Jan Müller, the instrumentalist and creative the whole store holds together, but simply belongs to it not carry role. It is taped by the rest of the band, particularly the guitar, simple, it's partly almost hard to hear him at all (which is why I incidentally might also admire him). Especially in connection to the very ambitious, but somewhat lacking in delicacy and precision stagnated drummer would be a well-defined bass a real boost, in my estimation.

In short: I'm looking forward to the next album, and at some point I'll even perhaps a fan.
