I write today about a Rezensoin WD Velociraptor 300GB with 16MB cache and 10.000RPM. I was with the performance of my system actually very happy (with 11GHz i5, 8GB RAM, 1.8GB graphics card, etc), but I had only one hard disk and that a WD Caviar Green with 1 terabyte and 5400 rpm. As I always like to have a system disk and a second as a repository for music movies photos and everything else, just had to be another. An SSD was vornerein unquestionable because very expensive and not always faster than HDD's, only the read access is just damn fast. So I searched the net for alternatives. When I came across the velociraptor was clear that it must be. So once again spoke to the PC dealer I trust about it and in the evening then ordered from Amazon. The disc is written in the description in the icepack provided whereby it remains nice and cool. The plate wrude also packaged very securely, but disappointing was that I had to buy the cable separately, at such a price I would have expected the cables are there. But so well short screwed the plate in the Rehmen and then just now 2 matching cable worried. Have the Velociraptor connected as the primary drive, then changed in the BIOS to AHCI and win7 reinstalled. Went very sher quickly, but I have been astonished when I call of duty modern Warfare2 installed have. Grenn caviar Before the it took 35 minutes (that's a good value), but the book now takes only 20 minutes. Even so in operation the office, Internet or play is the increase in performance very well noticeable I think. However, the growth lautsärke is audible. The rattle of the read heads is loud audible, but not sooo loud that it would bother me. I give 5 stars for the performance of this plate, revolutions for the coolness at 10,000 and the relative silence of the plate in such a performance. I can wholeheartedly recommend the plate actually for people who spend "only" 300 GB 200 mölchten (can). The plate is for people who want ultimate performance PC ideally suited. I am very very pleased with the Velociraptor. Greeting TobWee
