More than just a remake.

More than 10 years have passed since I was allowed to play for the first time "The Wind Waker" on the Gamecube. Even then a number of people excited about the "childlike graphics" on - and that has not changed to this day. But I say it this way: As if it would ever go to graphics in a Zelda game.
Okay, that mentioned only once in a while.

Now, in 2013, appeared the super game, again reissued in HD (according to the developers, so that we can reduce, among other things, the time to be announce "Zelda U" fans. In addition, WW HD also has a "test object" for this very may serve game, we can be curious). And not only that. It is not simply a remake. Too many things have been changed, as that one could call it only "lousy remake". And those who know the original and the HD version has that should be able to agree with me in this regard.

Just to name a few changes to the original:

- Sailing is one facilitated by the purchase of the seven-mile sail, which you can buy at the auction night in Windfall Island. Starting bid 100 Rupees, I paid a total of 250. Thus, you always have a tailwind, so the wind direction does not need to change. In addition, you are twice as fast on the road, which greatly facilitated various quests, such as to bring the water to the parched Tanntopische trees. You can switch back and forth with A between the normal (blue) and the speed (red) sail.
- The Tanntopische water lost after 20 minutes then its effect. This was changed to 30 minutes.
- The Photobox Deluxe obtained very early. Therefore you have no longer a Tannglühwürmchen on Tanntopia catch, but simply complete the Wizard Quest with the photographer.
- The Triforce Quest was greatly shortened. Where you had to then sail partly long and let a lot of money in Tingle, so that decrypts the card, so you now have to find only 3 cards and the remaining 5 Triforce parts are hidden under water or in caves. The locations have not been changed, some maintenance remotely. My note: I thought it was not bad at that time, so long to sail, to be honest. And I think it was in this version also much easier to get to the chest in the ghost ship - I had more opponents in memory.
- The Tingleceiver was replaced by the Tinglebottle. So you can share your impressions and photos with the Miiverse. And whoever finds bottles with the screenshot of a monster, which is not yet has the Minitendo gallery, this can easily save on his own camera.
- Finding Tingle Statues was a bit "difficult" The lack Tingleceiver. The locations of the statues are the same, but it is nowhere stated it and this can also be found with normal bombs - previously there were I think special bombs (I never got on the Cube in enjoyment of this quest). If you have all 5 statues, Swingle appear, one of Tingle brothers. Moreover Jingle gives a decent chunk of rubies for finding the statues.
- The game must not be interrupted by opening the Start menu, you can easily the item required on the gamepad using the stylus on Y, X or R pull. In addition, you need at sea the grappling hook, no longer equip the bombs and the baton separately that everything works just fine with the left pad.
- If you have played a melody once, they will not be repeated again, in games, thus takes as the day and night cycles much faster instead.
- The owner of Minitendo gallery does not only Statue 1 per day, but up to 12 bar.
In addition, you can always play the game in hero mode, yielding twice gets damage from opponents and his heart can no longer brush lying around the heart, but only just by drinking (much like in Skyward Sword). But I have not tested this.

These were only a few changes, but the stand out very quickly.

The story remains the same. Ganondorf can by his faithful feathered companions (or rather subject?), The mask King, kidnap several girls. Through a stupid incident on links home island Preludes - and just on his birthday - but his sister is kidnapped Aril. Link takes the right to save this and is deactivated after some back and forth to captain Tetra and the Pirates to reach Ganondorf's hideout, the Enchanted bastion. Unfortunately, his attempt fails, so he loses consciousness and, "picked up" in the sea from a boat, the red lions king. A long journey begins in the master link challenges, find 3 Deamonts and finally must travel under the sea to take the legendary Master Sword itself. But his journey is far from over after he has finally saved his sister. No, now he still has the sword to its actual strength help back, revive the ways and his world (and Zelda) save. The final battle against Ganondorf has it in itself (though I find the struggle immediately before much more difficult) and in the end one must experience a wonderful guy.
And you get the game once, you can start a second memory state, where there are some old known changes. You know: Link wears his pajamas (for me it looks like one), can understand the language of the gods and has from the outset owned by the Photobox Deluxe. In addition, the treasures are elsewhere than in the first passage (that time I had never respected it).

But you have to follow the story not only stubborn. There are numerous side quests to complete. Moreover lie everywhere on the seabed treasures, just waiting to be rescued. Treasures on treasure maps accommodate mostly silver rubies or even heart parts. And some treasures appear only at night. So it pays to keep your eyes always open.

Or you do color photos of all persons and opponents and leaves in the Minitendo gallery statues make it. So you can also spend a lot of time. And by changing that same 12 images will be issued, you have to not ever get out of the gallery, go to the next day and back inside. I got it honestly far too late found out because my gallery was almost complete.

All in all, "The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD" a successful remake of a great game anyway. Toon Link's many already grown to love and now displayed much greater detail by the graphic ENHANCE. It's still fun, even if you have so many previously played it male. In addition, you need not necessarily the TV, but it can make yourself comfortable on his couch with a gamepad. Then you have, however, as already GC-hours, call the menu again to place the items on the keys, etc.

The Ganondorf figure which beliegt the Limited Edition looks very detailed and lovingly edited and is, thanks to the dome (for us envy the Americans) fortunately no dust catcher. However, it is not a toy, but really just to set up. The figure found in my closet a place of honor. I must say that the current inflated prices for it are truly outrageous, however personally.

For true Zelda Fans is "The Wind Waker HD" a timeless classic and will always loved to play again. And also new starters of the series finally have the opportunity to link to sail across the sea and to experience his adventures. Because I think, Wind Waker is a perfect entry-level title since it is not really hard.
