With "Film Music Of Hans Zimmer" brings Silva Screen Records, a best-of album of the Media Ventures founder (now Remote Control Productions) out, which certainly brings some highlights from Zimmer's career. While I ("The Lion King", "The Prince of Egypt" or "Spirit") miss, I find other tracks, which are not at all of room, yet on the CD are some rooms classics such as from the animated genre as disturbing. (Eg "Kyrie for the Magdalene" from "Da Vinci Code" or "Vide cor meum" of "Hannibal".)
Another point of criticism are the arrangements and transcriptions that have been made here. Particularly striking that the quieter tracks sound better than the action arrangements. In addition, some tracks are badly mixed (the chorus is sometimes too loud and is as bothersome.)
Otherwise, the Prague Orchestra does a really good job. My personal highlight of the CD is the "Gladiator Symphonic Suite", which combines the best moments of the score in a track.
