The soundtrack to the Swedish film gem "As in Heaven" is a good mix of music score (for example "Winter Landscape", "The Breath of Amor"), classical music (Bach's G minor Sonata for violin) as well as for the film composed songs ("Gabriella's Song", "Fly With Me"). The order may not be the same order as the pieces featured in the film, but it is quite a good choice. Especially with "Beautiful Savior, King of Creation" the dynamics and expressiveness of a choir comes to advantage. The piece "As it is in Heaven" again, where 1,700 choristers sing together, actually comes across well only in film; without the accompanying images lacking the overwhelming (just also visual) impression. What I regret most, are the two versions of the songs "Gabriella's Song" and "Fly With Me". The former song is in the film marked a turning point and is, only with background chorus and soloist, tremendously impressive. On the CD, the play was in addition to drums and strings (the unnecessary towards the end, contribute to modern ornaments) "enriched", probably to make it more pleasing and "mainstream-compatible". Thus it loses heavily. What remains is an almost kitschy version of a great a capella song. "Fly With Me" was particularly touching in the film, therefore, because it was taken from the film awkward character Lena on tape, only with careful Piano Accompaniment for her voice. On the CD, a keyboard is used, which is not even so bad sounds; later, however, comes a faster rhythm added by drums, in my opinion, does not fit to the quiet, dreamy mood of the song (you could at a pinch can take the drums even at half speed). These two song versions are not really authentic, as they are not heard in the film. Perfect would be this soundtrack when both the a cappella version of "Gabriella's Song" as well as the simple, no-frills recording of "Fly With Me" would include, for example, as bonus tracks when the two mainstream tauglicheren versions must be already ,
