Most of the criticism is negative, I began my reading with a little more enthusiasm than expected, not expecting a sensational story. And to be honest, the first chapters have surprised me. It is well written and the author succeeds in combining two different genres with sobriety but frankly and assumed way. The story made its merry way until some elements are beginning to tire me. If humor was intended by the author, I did not appreciate. If the irony was part of his story, so I have not identified.
At a time, one is immersed in Pride and Prejudice, the next moment, it is directly carried away into the world of zombies and I have not found the talent of the author to mix his ideas. Copy and paste Jane Austen with, here and there, the zombie that needs to be beheaded. Some scenes and events are also very hard. I want to believe that zombies are evil and must be eradicated but I do not see the point to be as trash. I guess this is the style that wants that.
Finally, I will say that the imagination of the author is good but its scenario is not deepened. He took a few choice freedoms (like the fate of Charlotte) but others were not necessary (as the fate of Wickham).
