I bought the notebook for study and for occasional gaming (TMNF and older titles).
Have also equal Win7 Pro installed (the processor supported the AMD virtualization technology you for the XP Mode needs). All drivers have been correctly identified, only the driver for the "Fn" keys and the touchpad (scroll function) had to be installed separately ... to load from the HP website. The cashback campaign, although I can use but the processing has not yet through. Generally am fully satisfied with the device and wanted to just generate the pros and cons to write down the noticed me.
Pro:
- Matt display with extremely bright LED illumination (one can fortunately darken) and a sharp image
- 4GB RAM, 320GB HDD with 7200rpm (mine is a Hitachi installed) fürn THE PRICE simply great !!!
- Bluetooth, Webcam
- Battery life of about 3.5 hours (in the penultimate stage backlight, Bluetooth off, Cam off, WLAN on, sound off, power-saving mode and no additional peripherals attached)
- Ingenious AMD platform (CPU, IGP, chipset) with balanced performance (not just MM-waste with highendCPU and caves graphic)
- Comfortable keyboard (believe that the keys have full size)
-for my reichts Games (TMNF at the highest resolution and most minimal details = 40fps)
Neutral:
- Fan starts regularly (in power-saving mode ... I feel not as annoying)
- Connections really all links (as a right-handed mouse with okay ... useless for left-handers with mouse)
- Touchpad almost a little small for the size of the device ('m an Eee 1000H usual)
- Only 3LED's the whole device (power WLAN button and the power connection) ... who needs ne lights parade goes to the disco
- PSU small
- Only a mono speaker (sound is fine)
Cons:
- Display has no contrast ... black is very gray compared to a normal TFT monitor or an Eee 1000H
- Display resonates strongly of (Hinges I find sufficiently strong)
- Only b, g-Fi ... it can only be mounted Halfsize mPCIe cards (5100 to get any wireless n draft eg Intel)
For a price of 400 minus 50 cashback you can not complain really ... horny part :)
