Plugable® USB 2.0 10 Port Hub with 12.5W power supply for EU and UK (Terminus & Technology FE1.1s 2.1 chipset, Windows, Mac OS X and Linux / Unix support, backwards compatible with USB 1.1 and forward-compatible with USB 3.0)
I had bought this HUB because he should be able, according to description Multi-TT. Without going too much into detail (just google): Multi-TT allows a performant operation of multiple USB 1.1 devices at the HUB (!). Because this feature is probably for many more irrelevant, hubs are rarely produced the can. There are actually specified by the manufacturer in the product description built Terminus Technology chipsets. According to the data both chips Multi-TT are capable. If you connect the hub to the PC and the USB descriptors can spend there is the somewhat different and to have to come to 10 ports of 7-port hub chip (TerminusTech FE2.1) and the 4-port Chip (FE1.1) cascaded: at a port of 7-port chip is the internal 4-port chip connected. So far so good. But Interestingly, according to USB descriptors only the 7-Port-chip multi-TT capable of 4-port chip not. If that is true, it is important to * what * Ports to its USB 1.1 devices depends: In my unit, the ports of the 4-port chip, the four ports, front right. The two left and the two folding and the two rear ports are the six lead-out port 7 of the chip (on the seventh depends as said internally of the 4-port chip). Already a bit strange the whole thing. Why the 4-port chip and multi-TT is not capable (although it should be as stated in the data sheet) I do not know. Something bad is that the supplied AC adapter for 10 ports is significantly undersized: it only delivers 2.5A, but would be able to provide the theoretical 500mA per port to be twice as large dimensions. But since I have not only high-power devices to the HUB for me that is not problematic. One should be aware of this, however if you wants to use the HUB, thus wants to use all 10 ports with maximum current draw. Otherwise, I am satisfied with the HUB. He is stable with the 7 devices that I run is currently in progress.
