Unfortunately, I have to respect the sound the "Songs Topp - Sound flop" Connect to 100% -Review. I was hoping in advance that the criticism was perhaps a little hard. But already at the first hearing in the car confirmed the very imbalanced mix and with the view of the frequency analyzer, it is also home objectified: Strong height-heavy mix and a small hole in the low mids. (Round +5 to +10 dB from 2 kHz when compared to many other blends of renowned bands where I would describe the mix as a class.) Cause? Either poor ears or bad playback equipment mastering. This really is next arg and does not sound good, if you do not have high-frequency loss due to loud music in the inner ear. I am not totally picky and would say spontaneously that this disc from my 100th CDs by far has the most unpleasant heights.
Ergo: I'll probably still mix their own version in the home studio, so you can enjoy the album. But you should not need to do ...
(Supplement for sound designers: High-Shelf from 1.5 kHz with -7 dB and parametric filters at 320 Hz with +4 dB and 0.1 Q. Now's sounds again balanced and similar to the best-of disc of early 90s.)
