For weeks I had a melody in the ear, but could not place, where it comes from and where it belongs. Only with a DVD evening with Episode II then struck me: That's "Across the Stars"! So I immediately bought the CD and since then no regrets: It runs in heavy rotation in my player.
So if a piece of a soundtrack to a movie someone in the ear remains who has actually seen the movie only as popcorn Entertain cinema and not a lot of reference to action etc. has, it must be something special to the music.
Especially "Across the Stars" is a subject that has the makings of a classic, because this song is just in its range and diversity awesome. Through the soundtrack through variations on this theme are taken up again and again, even to a confusion of - in and of itself - love theme with Anakin's somber melody; a mix that I find particularly successful.
The soundtrack can be safely passed around, there is not a piece that would be so bad that you would have to continue playing it. Yet there are highlights on the CD. So I like for example next to "Across the Stars" and the powerful "Bounty Hunter's Pursuit" and "Return To Tatooine," and the final "Confrontation with Count Dooku", is where played repeatedly with dark melodies and once even Darth Vader's theme with resonates. Too bad that these sites are no longer.
A moody, quiet moment, however, is "Yoda and the younglings"; a scene that I found really great in the film and the very well the peace and serenity of this ancient Jedi Master imparted. You could almost use the track for yoga exercises: o)
I have a version with a bonus track, which is dealing with the issue, which begins in the pursuit on the assembly line. This is a little technical, with something that sounds like clacking typewriters and probably should be machine sounds simple. This track is the only weak point because of but not really "that includes" is excluded from the vote.
The soundtrack I can really recommend it to anyone, even non-Star Wars fans, because this piece of film music history not to be missed.
