When the time of the "Glitter Rock" you like (70's and partly 80s) you can not get to Slade. As time regular listeners of the legendary "Pop-sops" SWR 3 I sat glued to the radio, and wondered if Slade were represented again with a new single in the UK top ten. If so, then they were in the time of "Coz I luv you" to "Far Far Away", after that "My oh my," "Run Run Away" several Top Ten hits. Some singles were even pre-orders by No. 1 hits, including "Mama Weer All Crazee Now", "Cum on Feel the Noize" ... In this regard, they were even more successful than the Beatles! Slade had ostensibly been known that they were loud, but quite melodic. As a fan and collector but we also know very much appreciate the quieter songs that are right earwigs. In Slade's "The Party Album" everything is represented. I was pleased to hear versions that I did not know before (and I have not even all the albums). The CD starts with a live version of "Merry Xmas Everybody". In keeping with the December 2001 still in the process: "Santa Claus Is Coming to Town" and "Here's to the new year". Some non Holder / Lea-songs like "Let's dance", "Let's have a party", "Okey Cokey" and "Auld Lang Syne / You'll never walk alone" are represented. But also typical Slade-hits like "Cum on ...", "Mama Weer ...", but also quieter as "All Join Hands", "My oh my". The recordings, partly live, partly original and partly other versions are all from the year 1983, 1984 and primarily 1985th Since coming on humor!
