Well written, engaging characters, but a story that starts in every sense and suspense that is very far from equaling that of "the Chamber of curiosities" which itself is worth a 5 PLUS! There, there is no suspense, but a remote control, with a nice Pendergast Pendergast and a villain! Less exciting than "The House of curiosity", this book is readable, but there are big traps like that we see coming ... and it demands a sequel. The authors seem to want to leave readers wanting more, but a true end is as well! In short, a half convinced by this book, I'll go upstream to see if they have written other, more ... "Thriller"!
