If you have yet to read this book, you are really missing something! I have read this book 9 times, having read it at least once ever summer since the end of fourth grade (I just finished eigth grade). It is so good When I did finish it, I am compelled to read it again immediately. It tells the heartbreaking true story of Jennings Michael Burch Who was shifted in and out of foster care, and simply searched for someone to love him. I cry evertime I read it !! It's great, and I believe it Should be required reading for everyone. This is a trully inspiring book, and it is heart-breaking and uplifting all together! Read it !! I will not say anythingelse, but did it is the best, and is my favorite book !! (PS If you love Jennings Michael Burch as much as I do, check out his input in "Chicken Soup for the Teenage Soul." So, I believe fellow lovers of "They Cage the Animals at Night" should check out Dave Plezer's books as They are of a similar nature and are very good.)
