Work on aging of the characters is stunning. The gray temples of Superman, Bruce a fully articulated metal way. What about Aquaman that looks increasingly to King Arthur. Or Flash which is no more than a cloud of particles by its speed.
All new characters have the right to look deeply worked, even if we do see them a few moments. My favorite is probably Nightstar (Nightwing and Starfire daughter), simply beautiful!
I think we were there, one of the most successful work of Alex Ross. See as an artist work on characters quon between just seen, we can see that the project close to his heart. We feel that it there is a deep desire to doeuvrer on this project.
Level scenario Mark Waid and Alex Ross, offers us a masterpiece that leaves us to reflect on the awesome power of the Super-Heroes. How they can slip into second. And a second too soon because it is too late.
This future, hypothetical, proposed to us, is most disturbing. The new Super-Men no longer care about civilians and fight on regardless. The final straw, that which makes its return Superman retirement, is erasing the Kansas map of the USA. But our idol remains with his ideas of the past. Soon his remedy proves to be worse than the disease. War and imprisonment of opponents in a camp.
It is a vision that can bring us back to the Second World War, with the concentration camps, in less worse of course. But we are left there with Superman and Wonder Woman who do not hesitate to lock their opponents. An opposition, or opposition to Superman will implement, with Batman, Lex Luthor and the US government.
It will take a new drama and a superb fight between Clark and Bruce to open the eyes of our Kryptonian hero.
All this plus the intervention of a man. Norman! Little priest who follows the story from the beginning accompanying the spectrum. It will come to this thought: "Should the powers to be a hero? "For nothing with Norman words he will not save the planet?
