I have since July 2008. had a Medion Akoya Netbook what me but no longer sufficient from the performance. After a long search and waiting I have now for 1 week, the Acer 1810 TZ. From the performance of a real leap forward! The notebook I use for writing texts (WORD), presentations (PowerPoint), Mail, iTunes, view browsing, photos of the digicam and for programming (Delphi). All this is also due to the higher screen resolution (1366x768 instead of 1024x600) is finally very good and much better by hand. The slightly larger case I take while willing to accept. The keyboard is also better, because larger crucial millimeter. In addition, the battery life is a dream (> 7h). I have upgraded the RAM (on 4GByte, Akoya had under XP 2GByte) which becomes also noticeable. Only the display is compared to the Akoya now glossy (but still very good!), So I knew in advance, however, and does not bother me (you should previously times View in business). In Windows 7 I have a performance index of 3.2 (per cent 4,0; 4,7 Ram; graphic Aero 3.3; graphic Games 3.2; HDD 5.9 -> 120 GB SSD installed!). PassMark Performance Test: CPU 854.5; PassMark Rating 493rd All in all just the right netbook / notebook for me, I can only recommend.
