Given the high price I call criticisms anticipate that should iron out Bose in succession models:
- Charging via micro-USB power adapter should be possible
(Currently you can only with the included 12V power supply to charge. USB provides only 5V)
- It would be handy if you could use the existing USB port
(Eg for charging a smartphone)
- A headphone jack would be nice
(The 3.5 mm jack socket is a pure input)
- The power supply socket on the SoundLink sits very close to the AUX input
(It lets you load without charging cradle, but should be as verwechselungsfrei positioned)
- The placement of the SoundLink on the charging cradle is really simple, but requires but inspection and some fumbling. It would not be difficult to solve so that can be reversed left and right, and you can hang up without any problems the device even in the dark.
- Interested parties aware of to give any technical data is a peculiarity of the Bose-marketing
- When TV speakers, the device is not ideal, because you have to enable it separately
(I start my TV via plug connector and do not want to have to press each number button)
- The Bluetooth connection must always be re-established
(It's up to my handling or Bluetooth in general?
When connected to the PC, the connection is made automatically;
the Samsung ACE does not fold. So is not necessarily at Bose SL)
- The power supply has little confidence because of the plug-in technology for international use
(It used is negligible measured for trickle charging 0.5W active power and apparent power 3,1VA)
- I can not determine whether the installed software is up to date
(Where can I find a link with the current code release date and change history?)
- The packaging is complicated without one will use it as a permanent transport containers
The SoundLink Mini sounds much better than Mini Speaker Class EUR 25, which usually weaken the bass. It comes to a kind of "Merkel effect": One can not believe the small speaker the bass not to and is then done positively. Only a rogue would suspect that's exactly why Bose overemphasized bass.
Positive I noticed:
+ The sound
+ The quality appearance
+ The device remembers when it was operated in AUX or Bluetooth mode
(Which you do not have to adjust again after switching on again)
+ Correct placement on the charging cradle is acknowledged acoustically
(As the Entferen from the charging cradle)
+ First start with smartphone, tablet and PC went smoothly
+ Controls are self-explanatory
+ Service line is Google over "Bose SoundLink mini manual"
(May be required if you want to reset the timer for example)
