The notebook comes without an operating system (almost without a MiniDos is it). Since I use Windows 8.1 and guess was that played by me on it.
First, the integrated 1TB / 8GB hybrid harddisk, which actually does not fit right. It slows the system dramatically and the additional cost for an SSD is hearty.
But the installation of an SSD is relatively simple and so the notebook will be powered by a Samsung EVO840-250GB.
The installation of Windows goes smoothly and the enclosed driver CD is also made for it. Unfortunately, almost all drivers are outdated and new driver but you have to load from the Internet.
So far, I have an unknown device (some ACPI drivers) in the device manager, but apparently the not disturbing.
The i7 CPU with 12GB of RAM and SSD enable virtually lag-free work and largely flicker-games.
During normal operation, the Lenovo is wonderfully quiet, almost inaudible. Under load, it is of course much louder.
The monitor is very well done, but the standard resolution of 3840x2160 in standard mode is much too high. I have now set it to 1600x900, which on the one hand zeitigt a good picture and not necessitating the other hand many adjustments to font sizes and icons. Viewing angles are within the normal range in order and the image is extremely bright (if any against my previous Sony Vaio).
The sound is fairly decent for the small speakers. It helps a mini-subwoofer on the bottom, which produces something similar to bass.
But unfortunately there are also weaknesses. Actually two. Both input devices are rather poor.
The keyboard is quite schwergänging and they fluttered before letters because you can not find the pressure point. That may be getting used to, but is annoying. The illumination of the keys is helpful at night, but could be better solved. Especially if you are not completely straight looks at the keys, displays the red light more than it helps.
Really bad is the touchpad. So far it's me rarely succeeded in the mouse when you press the keys on the site to keep where I want them back. That's just bad, even if the 2-finger operation for scrolling is nice. An external mouse is required.
This is unfortunately also reflected in the processing. Sharp edges, many acts not worked carefully. For a notebook of 900 euros class I would have expected more since.
I keep it yet, because the computing power is very convincing!
