New Guitar

after 45 years of strumming I take a guitar teacher in claim, which now must struggle away with me (and I am with him ;-)). For some time First this new strings were due for my Gibson replica Ibanez. Since I now aspire to higher spheres, I did not want the standard strings Martin, the immmer in MusicStore with the remark: "Take those who are good"! offered, satisfied. So I searched the Internet to at all times to learn about different guitar strings. I felt like I was in this respect in the first grade, I knew only that one usually draws on a western guitar no nylon strings. But of 92/8, phosphorus (the need but not at night to light up) in conjunction with bronze, square, round, oval or Nanoweb-wrapping, 010er- / 011er-strength until then I had never heard. In short, in the end I ordered the now-reviewed by me strings, because they should sound great and are long lasting. The strength of 0.010 for the thickness e-string had recommended my guitar teachers who are pushing easier for a beginner. And me, a 60 year old with 45jähriger SchrummSchrumm experience ;-). With the Martin-strings or the sound of my Ibanez I was actually in quite fresh strings never really satisfied and the difference from the state, if I without clean two years recorded (ok, beschrammelt) had, I did not really frapant before. Actually, I switched only when they started me to fly around the ears, but then the whole sentence. So now came for the first time a set of Elixir on my guitar and that was a great experience. Even though my game art may not be quite so hot, but what sounds very good, good, mediocre or even bad, get my ears and the associated brain with already. And with the Elixir strings was my Ibanez of a reasonably good wooden box, at a highly melodious instrument, I had virtually a new, at least twice as expensive guitar that can keep up with the sound forth almost with my current new original Gibson. I despite the newly acquired still love the 30 year old piece of his wounds, made me very happy that. And now for the Gibson: Again, I have directly replaces the original strings of unknown brand by Elixir strings and even here the sound was a lot clearer and more transparent.
Conclusion: For this difference in sound I'm happy to grab a little deeper into the wallet, especially as the durability that partly offsets again.
