24 carat gold-Songs from the Vault (Audio CD)

Customer Review

Any releases of Stevie Nicks are for me the absolute "must have". The voice is unique and Stevie Nicks accompanied my life now since "Rumours" by Fleetwood Mac. After I was always a little disappointed with the last CD, I was happy now now the new "old" recordings.
Once I have this CD now several times completely heard, however, I am disappointed. You could in the first albums "The Wild Heart" and "Bella Donna" still practically designate each song as a class, with the later albums, at least for several individual songs had this catchy quality.
This album is now called "24 carat gold" Although all the songs are good, but for my taste stands out not only in a special way out. After many attempts (and slips) to the tonal qualities of the first albums find though, musically but everything remains average. Although much reminds you of your greatest hits, with some songs you have kind of a deja vu listening experience, but as a real wow feeling does not come.
Playing tips for me are (in this order):
-All The beautiful worlds (a nice quiet song, in your voice well to advantage)
-Mabel Normand (slightly more rock-influenced ballad)
-Starshine (Classic rock of the early years)

Conclusion:
For Stevie Nicks fans a must to complete the collection, a real firecracker but not. A crash on 3 star has only prevents your voice is phenomenal still even in the worst songs.
