Positives:
++ It survives the use by an infant (falls, dirt, moisture) -> tested until now no visible damage
+ Relative current hardware (unlike other outdoor Smartphones)
Memory (8 GB) RAM (512MB), CPU (1 GHz Dual Core) are state of the art in this price range
+ Elegant design (although everything is plastic)
+ Pleasant feel (everything is white is slightly roughened)
+ Memory with SD card expandable (which is of course not everywhere)
+ Fits in your hand, everything theoretically be operated with the thumb
+ Liquid to use, the Sony UI works here fairly decent
+ Update to ICS (Android 4.x) in work
+ Good phone acoustics
+ White in-ear accessory
+ Price
Neutral:
+/- Camera quality adequate but not great
+/- Battery lasts as long as promised and is at a level comparable with equipment (2 days +) - equivalent to about 10 hours continuous power usage
with playing Internet Services, WiFi, Bluetooth - Who it is of little use can safely cope two weeks, for me the main consumer was the display
+/- Screen has a super quality only the brightness leaves to be desired in direct sunlight left, small resolution took me until now
not disturbed
+/- Many unnecessary apps (some may need them) such as Facebook, the unnecessary memory (RAM as well not really be terminated) frittered
do that but most of that. I think even Android as the base is not free from all
+/- Relatively well finished (from time to time when in-the-hand take creaks)
+/- Speakers are ok, but crash / noise at higher volumes -> is ok but is indeed no Beatbox, speakerphone goes
Negatives:
- In case of power loss SOMETIMES (I think that depends on how long it takes to get back to get network access) not an independent new Check-in with
Network mode WCDMA (preferred) / GSM -> restart the device needed
- Re-login at loss NIE independent network with GSM mode only -> Restart the device needed
- That part does not recognize my Bluetooth Headset Phillips (SHB9100 / 00)
CONCLUSION:
So up to the violent power problem a super machine with good price / performance ratio.
The network should be able to solve problems with a software update. Until then, I hope not too much time on network losses.
Without that I'd give the thing ne 4.8.
Buy Again -> YES.
-----------------------------------
Addendum:
- Was fixed network problems was first corrected without the correct update by network operators (as in any other recession described) (EPLUS)
- Update applied -> no further problems
- Battery life can dramatically increase by (came preinstalled with me) McAffee uninstalled (if not permanently wears the screen)
- I've a cover of transparent silicone buy for the back -> knarzen away and fall down now makes it even barely sounds
Buy Again -> YES, now more than ever
