I counted exactly to the target group of the Moto G.
I am a student and would like to spend no 1.5 months wages (on student job level) for a smartphone. The alternative S3 Mini has somehow everyone and I do not like the Samsung user interface. So rapidly was this equipment in focus.
What did I expect from a smartphone?
Good display
Good battery life
Should still fit comfortably in my pocket
It should not depend, and of course it should not be too clean cut the price.
All this provides the Moto G.
Although 8GB are annoying, but thank God there are the 75GB cloud for 2 years (the expected me lifetime of this smartphone). So if you from time to time cleaning out and you have no problem with the memory. Music can also be streaming, but a few songs already fit on it. Two years I will definitely still be at the university, as there are everywhere Fi.
For me, the 8GB enough, partly because I want to wait less than a month on the 16GB version.
Let. To details For battery.
For battery. Duration Zocken he holds by not long before the breath he goes out after approximately 7 hours. From time to time at Facebook, a couple of SMS and calls, Whatsapp, a few photos, but it keeps loose by 2-3 days. With intensive use must also evening at the outlet. The included power supply is buzzing this very loud, no longer use it. But at least this was one.
Compared. I have played for 1 hour quiz duel with a friend (Galaxy S2, new). During their battery after indicating 50%, was my still at 88%. Both at 100% of course started. Even if the battery is finally, very good for the price range.

Let's talk about general processing.
Here is the weak point a little. Especially bothers me the wobbly keys for On / Off and Volume Up / Down. But that seems to be a common problem and in my device, it is not at least as bad pronounced as the device, which I have already examined in engineering shops. This reduces the value impression pretty.
In addition, the gaps around the screen are too large, there always catches dust. Front and rear camera are not centered to 100%, what is striking about the front camera. In addition, the back is very fingerprint prone.
Go for the price ok, but rather 3 of 5 stars.
For Gorilla Glass 3 is installed :)
To feel.
I have big paws and where the smartphone is like a one. That it is relatively difficult to not interfere, otherwise I would not indeed feel it in your pocket or in your hand. By bulbous design that is timeless simple, it fits comfortably in your hand. Top quality materials feel. Only the plastic border around display looks a little cheap. And even if it is only white, it has a notification LED.

Display and Sound.
Although it is a HD display you can see a matrix of pixels on closer inspection quite. But not HD displays are as much worse. From 25 cm the matrix is slowly invisible (though I have very good eyes, some people see the pixel matrix probably never) colors are beautiful, of course. Display is bright enough, I usually there on 1/5, is sufficient. 1/2 for bright outside light also. Although I had imagined the maximum brightness stronger. Blacks against the gray at high brightness. Sound is acceptable. Nothing special. A little tinny perhaps.
When calling to landlines there is a small echo, but not always and not reproducible.
From time to time you can hear a slight noise, but both quite negligible.

For System. Pure Android is fun. The Start Animation is super nice and full of Easter eggs, terrific. It is clean and tidy, since Kitkat are some animation issues resolved and the battery life is by the state terrific, the progress bar is like hammered.
Larger stuttering I have not seen, nor that the apps would have to be reloaded on the home screen, as sometimes occurred in 4.3. Every now and then it chops, but never long or striking. Games go usually liquid. My iPod touch hacks and sometimes significantly more striking than the Moto G.
Quad Core Power is fun :) Most of the tasks are done very fast, multi-tasking is not a problem. Networks are found and logged rapidly. The default ring tone is a little embarrassing, but the one can change quickly;) Even of gigabytes of RAM is sufficient, unless one has 100 Apps parallel open. Navigation is not yet as reliable, but the location on 5-10 meter is accurate and the digital compass shows usually even very precisely to the north!

The often criticized camera is not a marvel of technology and there is no settings manually. But for the price I find it quite appropriate and to use as a snapshot camera well, I've seen beautiful 3.2 megapixel Fixfokuskameras that were significantly worse. The results do look like photos and not like a landscape by Monet. There is also an LED flash, which is not self-evident in the price range! Who wants to photograph properly is a hollow DSLR (as I use it for reasonable photos). The front camera is not super course for Skype sessions and also for the price.
I prefer to be a Suchti but just now and benefit from the advantages of a smartphone that can exist in your categories listed above and does it really terrific. Best Buy. Were it not for the loose buttons, the poor availability of the 16GB version and the fact that I had to wait for 2 weeks Kitkat, it would be worth 5 points to me.
