Once again a year has passed, once again a new Need for Speed. And it gets even by EA Black Box. I thought who from the disaster of NFS: Undercover learned, but unfortunately that is not the way.
- Let's start with the graphics. The Frostbite 2 engine has been highly touted, but Black Box has messed up a lot here. The landscapes look still quite good, but the cars ... well, sort of yesterday. Otherwise, the overall impression is good except for a few occasional slowdowns. The boys can not better it stop!
- The scope! Ha, because the boys have finally the cake. I have mastered the RUN and looked at the clock: 3 hours and 26 minutes !!!!! So since then, the demonstrations had more playing time! Again, I have to say the guys at EA Black Box can not it just better! But the best is still stretches of hot persuit were hergenommen. The borders on Kundenverar ****. For the full price for such a short "gameplay" where even stretches from the old NSF are? That was the last time!
- The online mode is standard. No more, no less!
- The controls are as one would expect from an arcade racer, solid.
- And now we come to the biggest gripe! The famous rubber band effect! This is completely exaggerated and often brings a 180! Personally, I want to go as well as I really am and not as it allows me the game. Which means, if I absolutely flawless drive a route and a few seconds raushole only'll overhauled in the final kilometer of the entire field of drivers since the AI has suddenly felt 500 bhp under the hood! At the present time this is for developers only embarrassed when they have to resort to such means to make more exciting just a game.
I do not know who has waved through the game so, but here you can clearly see that you just want to make a quick buck.
EA is always suspect me. Only Connect Visceral Games (Dead Space 1 + 2, Dante's Inferno), who almost always delivered good games. But Hans Wursten of Black Box, they can continue to blunder. Does the studio Visceral and again, the skill at least.
Conclusion: RIP NFS
