The time travel are generally pleasant to read as full of surprises. Here we are served: a great leap in Vienna in late XIX and flashbacks (or forward;)) No way to prove anything here but be aware of the plot we meet historical figures, detailed facts major events. I am not a "difficult customer" but we must admit that the style is not wealthier, especially early. Sometimes we get lost in meandering or details that affect the smooth flow of the narrative. It should read the book in VO to see if this is an influence of the translation or not. In short: the plot is well supported, if you enjoy reading passes the first tape and that we are not frightened by the length (nearly 600 pages).
