My claims were:
- Can type up quickly using the keypad texts
- If necessary, fold down the screen and add a drawing or a hand note / formula
- Have a small lightweight portable device for Unit ash
- Long battery life for the university life
- Good workmanship
Non important was:
- High performance, sound quality, camera, more gimmicks
Deviations from the product description:
It is - fortunately - instead of a single core N455 processor (1x 1,66GHz) with a dual-core N570 (2x 1,66GHz).
Comparison of processors on the Intel website.
It is 7 Home Premium instead of Windows comes with a Windows 7 Starter.
First Impressions:
The Netvertible is well made. The display remarkably stable despite the central fixation. As annoying I felt the weight that amounts to 1370g. Compared to simple netbooks I find this astonishing difficult.
The touch screen works well. Windows is so easy to operate and the text recognition of one's own handwriting is extremely good.
The battery lasts long enough, in my opinion, but could still be improved. 5 hours of use are definitely in there, if you do not mind consuming.
The negative points:
If you are the Netvertible as "netbook" in front of him and then turns the display so that it is controllable only via the touch screen, then the image is upside down. I have no function found that rotates the screen when folded. It has to be rotated manually using a button on the screen, which relatively long takes (3sec hold and then wipe with your finger in the direction you want to rotate the display) and often the display in another direction rotates as you want.
In my opinion, this is an absolute wrong concept!
It continues with PDF files, which I want to write for the university Comments tuned.
There is no software to install, with which you can annotate, and save PDF files by hand. Theoretical remedy eg Adobe Acrobat X Professional German - Student and Teacher Edition (this software is designed for students relatively cheap) or the free Foxit PDF reader. For both products, but remains the same problem:
When I start to write to the PDF, this can only happen if I start with a horizontal writing movement. And that applies to ANY withdrawal (watch time on it, how often they settle when they write with a normal pen) If you start with a vertical movement, the picture changes, and the window of the PDF reader.
For this feature to me is absolutely useless.
The good news is that you can 10 comment without problems under PowerPoint. Here disturbs me again that when I look at a film at 100% it is too small on the 10 "screen. So I have ran zoom reasonable post comments and after I'm done with the comment again back out. I think this is also not a permanent condition and falls for me also "not suitable for everyday use."
Finally, another erroneous concept:
If I use the Uni-Fi, then I have to use to me in the network to authenticate a program. This is true in many Uninetzen, unfortunately only supports Apple from scratch the relevant protocols.
In the normal Windows operating everything is working fine, but when I want to use a short time the Express Gateway Asus to "just" what nachzuschauen the Internet, this does not work because the corresponding protocols will not load (ie not connected to the WIFI).
What I miss in this machine is a slot for a SIM card to go via 3G to surf.
Another detail that bothers me a little is the very Doll reflective display in which each lamp mirroring very disturbing. Something matter would have been more advantageous, since one could operate with lower brightness the screen for a longer battery life.
I forgive only 2 stars, because the most important and fundamental (for me) functions do not work as they should. Because I can buy a simple netbook for considerably less money. If you can live with the above negative points, which gets a very good device with this Netvertible.
