Positives:
- Image Quality. Especially in low light is clearly what the camera can. Same shots at night on the street in the light of a single lantern (freehand) are most useful. In my old Lumix DMC-FX30EG-S it is vastly superior to it.
- Compact and (my personal opinion) just fine.
- Automatic Macro. You do not need macro button. The camera makes it its own.
[Update 05/2012]
- The build quality / stability must be praised. Mir is the camera fell down lately 2x rough, the sprint across the street from the hip pouch on the asphalt. The Case has deep scratches and can be easily bent but the camera still works without any restrictions.

Negatives:
- The display dialogue (with the standard information when shooting) is the ultimate. One has the choice between a completely cluttered view, where all information is displayed constantly. (For example, the information that an SD card is inserted. This is with me always so.) Or a view where NOTHING is displayed. A sensible middle ground (eg remaining images, battery level) does not exist.
- The GPS is lame unusable. The first fix takes several minutes more fixes between 10 seconds and one minute. (All with over played satellite data.) It takes too long to me. I actually bought the camera for Use geo-tagging, but continue use my Garmin, because otherwise it takes too long. In addition, the GPS sucks so hard on the battery that you are lucky if the only maintains a vacation day.
- Sony's proprietary socket. (Or a totally uncommon USB version.) As I once forgot the cable (USB transformer but this had), had even fit the Saturn store. Not having cable. Why does not Sony as no small standard USB connector into the camera? Why force me Sony specially take a Sony proprietary charger on vacation?
- Function "Background Under sharpness". Was supposed to be a nice effect. Worked for me but not once does. There was only an error message.
- Shutter lag. Sometimes the camera simply refuses to quickly take a photo. Perhaps one of the most diverse automatics? Because the tree is not smiling? In the second or third print it works then.
Somewhere in between:
- The surround feature is very nice and easy to use. However, I do not understand why it is limited to 180 °. Why not 360 shots? And if you're too slow, stop recording. That would be okay if the image did not contain gray then white space on the page.
- Protective cover. The idea of the sliding lid seems very intuitive to me. But somehow "hooked" the mechanics (not a defect!) So funny that it is not nice of hand. My wife therefore do not like the camera (and others). It is positive for me that I can close the camera and put away IMMEDIATELY. (Without that I will have to file as before 2 commemorative seconds for the lame appearance.)
- Touch screen. Was for me an experiment whether it therefore goes better than buttoned. Because the iPhone, I was hoping that it would be so. But is more of a throwback.
