I'm probably the only one who has sold an X-T1, because he likes the X-E2 more. But there is always the R-types and M-types, and I seem to be an M-type, ie one whose ideas look like a camera and feel should be guided by Leica M models. Now the X-T1 had two advantages over the X-E2: She had the better, larger viewfinder and: she was - extremely handy - for my hands. Especially with larger, heavier lenses, the haptics of the Fuji X-E2 was indeed somewhat criticized. The heaviest lenses that I have for my X-E2, are the XF 56 and XF 55-200. And so my decision was clear, try the handle, whether you can improve with him, the use of these two Objetkive. For the large telephoto zoom I can say a resounding yes, for the portrait telephoto but already an equally clear Jein: With or without a handle, the handle hardly changes. Now my other Fuji lenses are smaller and lighter than those two, so that certainly unnecessary for it, the handle appears. My summary is:
Pro grip + Good at X-E2 with lenses that are heavier than 500g + Tripod mount is centered + Good workmanship + Protects the bottom of the camera against tripod threads + Can be installed quickly and easily (and remove)
Contra handle - Removal of the SD card a bit fiddly - Sees with smaller lenses from rather unbalanced - Increases the weight of the camera
A good review of handle is available here: [...] - The tone of the report corresponds to my experience, that the grip of the X-E2 improved only marginally with the handle.
