The series VFR Germany is undoubtedly one of the best terrain enhancements that you can currently buy for FSX. Where the price is quite steep; for all four parts one is allowed to shell out good 160 euros. However, the price / performance ratio is okay; you get truly offered a lot for the money: There are countless 3D structures, many of them animated. Especially the really numerous animated wind turbines as well as the many radio and television towers have the illusion of a real landscape arise. The landscape textures are first class, you can literally (of course, which is also a disadvantage because they do not move) recognizes the cars on the highways. This brings me to the small errors that has the product. First of all, it should be noted that the above-mentioned "mistakes" with the highways simply stems from the detail of the textures and so actually is forgivable. But then again, it is these little things (eg visible bridges that are hit by cars simply transferred instead), which may interfere with "quasi-reality" repeatedly (zer) otherwise grandiose illusion. In other words: The landscape is shown in total as well that such small mistakes are all the more disturbing. Just like a big city realisischen texture the few non-3D building more platter and unrealistic work with several 3D buildings ... But of course, the manufacturer can not retouch photographed each car on the highway by hand, and the Autogen scenery can not just to any current space a 3D building set. Alone of the computational power her not. Taken together, these "errors" are so not really a problem. There is also only a few places where really "verschlimmbessert" something by the addon was. So I know for example the Egelsbach airport quite well. In reality (and at high Autogenous setting in the default FSX) is next to the grass runway to the south, a larger forest. In this addon is only seen as a texture that Autogen produced for some reason here no more trees, so you suddenly in an unfamiliar way, look out over the landscape ... But such discrepancies are likely to notice only connoisseurs of the respective area. Let. To the only two 'real' criticisms The entire landscape is shown in the middle of summer, there are no textures moderate seasons. That may not sound wild, because in our latitudes anyway rarely snow. Nevertheless, the sight of lush green meadows and woods in the middle of November seems somehow ... weird. But what really bothers me is that there is no night textures. So great looks the landscape by day, so they will duster at night. A night VFR, doable in standard FSX is impossible with the addon. The only light sources are some illuminated building, otherwise you might as flying over the Sahara. This is in my opinion a real shortcoming; I expedients, by night I power down the addon scenery library by ... Apart from these points, it is an excellent addon with clean programming, good documentation and even a (unfortunately greatly reduced) original ICAO chart. For VFR pilots who like to fly over their home, purely and simply a must. I wish only one update with winter and especially night textures.
