For a premium price to get an excellent crafted for my taste optics. We delivered a ca.1kg heavy lens with covers for the bayonet as well as the dome-like, almost hemispherical lens. The lens cover is accordingly vulominös and is put on the permanently installed Streulichblende. A storage of the lens without this cover is to be regarded with caution because at 14mm the lens head arching far beyond the shorter leg of the four-part lens hood. For storage a slightly padded fabric bag with shoulder strap is included in delivery. Getting used to was the arrangement of the zoom ring sitting in this lens from the aperture ring, so closer to the camera for me. At 14mm focal length is already really gets at open aperture great results, the dimmed somewhat the hyperfocal distance allows the entire image and then produced my opinion sensational results. From aperture f10, f11 then a loss starts again on image quality that I attribute to the diffraction blur. Distortions are hardly CA and only present the negative I can mention in such a small amount here not. Overall, I am convinced of the quality of this lens, the production as well as the imaging performance, despite the high price and enthusiastic. Those who like wide-angle shots of the highest quality should take the weight and (unfortunately) also the price in purchase. From me there is a strong buy recommendation!
